Welcome to Beggarsdaughter.com, an online resource for Christian women who struggle with pornography and lust.
My name is Jessica Harris and I started this blog in 2009 in order to share my own story of struggle. You can read more about that here.
Back when I started, women struggling with pornography wasn’t something that we talked about in church, or anywhere really. It was taboo and shameful. Over the years, it’s been an amazing thing to see that conversation (slowly but surely) changing.
If we’re silent about the sin; we’re silent about grace. If we don’t talk about the struggle; we can’t help people find healing.
I’ve been able to take stages around the world, sharing my story, and advocating on behalf of women who struggle silently in the church.
If you are one of those women, welcome, and please know you are not alone.
It is the intent of this page to be a source of encouragement and direction for you. You can find resources specifically geared toward your struggle as well as posts that hopefully address some of the questions you may have. If you still have questions, check out the F.A.Q. (coming soon!) or contact me.
Some of the “hot topics” on the blog are:
If you love or care for one of these women, thank you.
